Domestic Peace Program for Men Perpetrating Violence

Provided by Northern Society for Domestic Peace

A program for men who want to change their violent and abusive behaviours.
Northern Society for Domestic Peace provides one-to-one counselling and support to men who are concerned that their behaviours are hurting those they love and want to make changes to improve their relationships through the Domestic Peace Program.

The Domestic Peace Program is built on the belief that men can choose, at any time, to change and stop their abusive behaviour and that they already have the ability within themselves to consistently act with respect toward others in their lives.

The Domestic Peace Program also offers counselling to men around issues such as coping with separation and divorce, healing past abuse and parenting. The goal of the program is to help men with the concerns they bring to counselling and help them make choices that lead to a healthier, more respectful and more mindful way of living and being in relationship with others. Support groups and couple therapy may also be available through the program.
