- All Nations Youth Safe House (ANYSH): ANYSH offers a 30-day home-like space that is safe, comfortable and caring when youth ages 16-18 are enduring times of hardship. ANYSH is staffed 24-hours a day, 7 days a week, even Christmas and New Years. Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal youth are welcomed. Self-referrals welcomed. Services include six warm, clean beds for vulnerable youth ages 16–18; daily nutritious meals; 24/7 support from caring staff; access to computers, phones, television, and leisure activities; and assistance with education completion, employment or training opportunities, housing, and other needed supports.
- Indigenous Youth Connections Program: Assists urban Indigenous youth age 15-24 explore their full potential and develop strategies for personal growth, which in turn, enhances their ability to successfully integrate into education, employment, and community opportunities. Services include a weekly Youth Drop-In with activities led by Elders and facilitators; monthly educational and engaging outings and field trips; advocacy, referrals, and support to help youth access needed services; and life skills workshops designed to build knowledge, skills, and confidence.
- Indigenous Youth Outreach & Empowerment Services: In collaboration with the Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD) High-Risk Youth Team, the Indigenous Youth Outreach & Empowerment Team (IYOES) provides street outreach and weekly one-to-one support to youth ages 13–18 who are at risk of or experiencing street involvement. Services use a harm reduction approach to support access to housing, education or training, employment, and other essential supports. MCFD referrals only.
- Indigenous Youth Urgent Needs Worker: Provides outreach support to vulnerable youth who are at risk of becoming street entrenched. Staff support youth through cultural connections, advocacy, referrals, accompaniment, coaching, mentoring and emotional support, supporting access to: income, health services, mental health support, addictions support, shelter options, job support and housing supports.
- Indigenous Youth Reaching Home Outreach Program: Works with individuals who are experiencing homelessness and face barriers such as mental health, addictions or exiting correctional facilities. The goal of this program is to provide intense support services to help individuals reach their housing goals. Services include housing crisis and emergency needs grants; assistance with housing applications; housing start-up kits; support with obtaining identification; wellness planning; and Ready to Rent workshops.
- Surrey Indigenous Youth Advisory Committee: Empowers youth, through arts and culture, to be advocates, leaders and facilitators in their community. Through partnerships, we enable culturally relevant, evidence-based leadership opportunities to empower the Surrey Indigenous youth voice to inform policy and programming for future generations. Our six core values are Decolonization, Community, Creativity, Culture, Leadership, and Support.
- Youth Culture Night: A safe space for young people age 13-30 to reclaim and begin one’s cultural journey by coming together with other youth over dinner, art and cultural activities. Services include weekly Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday night dinners for young people ages 13–30, providing opportunities to connect through arts and cultural activities.
