Indigenous Housing and Homelessness Prevention

Programs to support individuals and families who are at risk of, or facing, homelessness.
The following programs and services are offered:
Don’t Panic, Eat Bannock Outreach Van: Provides harm reduction outreach to clients in need of harm reduction and safer sex supplies: syringes, glassware, condoms, lube, etc.

Don’t Panic Eat Bannock – Healing Ourselves: Provides food security hampers for Indigenous families in need and those facing homelessness.

Aboriginal Homeless Prevention Program: Provides support to Aboriginal individuals and families who are at risk of becoming homeless through rental subsidies, assistance with housing applications, cultural and community referrals, and assistance with applying for income supports.

Aboriginal Housing Outreach Program: The program provides support to clients who are experiencing homelessness by providing assistance with accessing shelters, transitional and second-stage housing, cultural and community referrals, housing start-up assistance, and assistance with applying for income support.

Indigenous Reaching Home Outreach Program: This program works with individuals who are experiencing homelessness and face barriers such as mental health, addictions or exiting correctional facilities. The goal of this program is to provide intense support services to help individuals reach their housing goals.
