Provides a range of health care and support services for eligible residents who have acute, chronic, palliative or rehabilitative health care needs.
These services include:
  • Dental Clinic: Services include Teeth Whitening, Restorative dentistry, dentures, cosmetic surgery, dental hygiene, family dentistry, and oral cancer screening.
  • Community Health Provides community based health needs.
  • Medical Transportation program: Supported by First Nations Health Authority, provides assistance with travel costs for eligible medical appointments and treatments.
  • Mammogram Clinic: Partners with the BC Cancer Society to provide biannual mammogram screening clinics.
  • Nutrition: Provides diabetes management and prevention, group classes and workshops and Individual guidance from dietitians.
  • Optometry: Offers comprehensive eye exams focused on optimizing vision health and function. Services include complete optical assessments, ordering prescription glasses or contacts on-site, specialist referrals, and coverage guidance.</br)
  • Mobile Diabetes Program: The team travels to remote reserves in Southern BC and the Fraser Valley to provide blood glucose screening and retinal eye exams.
  • Kwiyo:s: Provides prenatal care that combines traditional wellness practices with modern medicine for balanced care. Expectant mothers receive guidance on nutrition, self-care and birth plans from skilled midwives and nurses. They facilitate connections with community resources too. Postpartum they provide breastfeeding support, development checks, cultural teachings and indicated referrals that amplify care.
  • Home and Community Care program: Provides skilled in-home health services to help clients manage acute and chronic conditions. Includes personal care, home support, referral healthcare programs, palliative and end-of-life care, and rehabilitation and recovery.
  • Compationate Midwifery: Offers culturally sensitive care to expectant mothers and families throughout the stages of pregnancy, childbirth, and the initial 6 weeks postpartum.
  • Elders Fitness: Seabird Island’s Elders Fitness Centre provides opportunities to remain fit and independent through group classes and socialization through movement.
