Youth Hubs Extreme Weather Shelter - Surrey

Provides shelter for youth at the City Centre Youth Hub (CCYH) whenever the city's Extreme Weather Response (EWR) is activated.
This housing service for youth opens sleeping spaces based on the daily weather from November to March or when Extreme Weather Response (EWR) is activated. EWR shelters will open if conditions are deemed severe enough to present a substantial threat to the life and/or health of people who are homeless.

When the shelters are opened, the EWR Shelter at CCYH will open overnight from 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM for youth under the age of 18, who are homeless and out in the cold. Youth must be in the building by 11:30 PM. Food, water and coffee will be available. Showers and laundry will also be available.
