Prevention and Health Promotion Program (Community and School-Based)

The prevention program supports youth 10-19 to prevent substance misuse.
The prevention program supports youth 10-19 aiming to prevent, delay and reduce the harm associated with substance concerns. Facilitators support and promote healthy lifestyles with youth both in schools and the community through awareness presentations, group work, individual mentoring, and recreational activities. This regional program has facilitators in several locations throughout the Fraser Region.

Eligibility: Youth aged 10 to 19 and have been identified as benefiting from services to promote resiliency and enhance decision-making around wellness, especially wellness pertaining to substance use.

Entrance Requirements: Schools requiring support are identified through needs-based planning with school district. Presentations, groups, and individual support are provided based on request and capacity.
