Day, Evening, Weekend Youth (DEWY) Program - Intensive group counselling and activities to support youth abstinence from substance

This program requies referral from a Fraser Health-funded Youth Substance Counsellor or Concurrent Disorder Therapist. The program helps youth aged 13 - 18 reduce or abstain from substance use through intensive group counselling & activities.
  • Structured individual and group treatment services that will enhance the youths’ motivation toward healthier decision-making including reducing or abstaining from substance use
  • Allows for continuous intake. Core Program is Tuesday to Friday from 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM with periodic “Drop-In” weeks, requesting minimum attendance of 6 hours per week. Program completion is 60 hours of group work/activities.
  • Serves youth in the Fraser Health region. The programs are accessible via transit.

  • Eligibility: Youth who are:
    • Aged 13 to 18
    • Assessed as needing intensive services by a Fraser Health-funded Youth Substance Use Counsellor or Youth Concurrent Disorder Therapist
    • Currently in stable housing
    • Worried about relapsing and/or wanting to change substance use impacts in their life
    • Able to get to and from the program
