Two community gardens that allow individuals to grow their own food and socialize.
Alex House operates two community gardens consisting of eighty-four leased plots, along with numerous plots designated for common purposes, projects or special groups. More than simply a place to grow food for the household, Alex House community gardens are truly communities of gardeners, with opportunities to learn, and socialize together.
Interested individuals can visit the website to apply for a plot. Applicants must also hold an annual Alex House membership.
- Alex Community Garden (ACG): 30 member plots located in Crescent Beach, across Sullivan St. from the rear of Alex House.
- Crescent Park Community Garden (CPCG): 54 member plots located at 25th Ave and 128th St, next to the parking lot by Crescent Park Elementary School and the City of Surrey tennis courts.
Interested individuals can visit the website to apply for a plot. Applicants must also hold an annual Alex House membership.
