- One-to-One Youth Support (ages 13-18): Experienced youth workers are available to provide 1-1 support, information and resources for youth in the South Surrey and White Rock area. Youth workers support youth with their unique goals and needs, identify strengths and interests, and help them connect to community resources. Youth can receive support in a number of areas including housing, employment, education, coping and life skills, conflict resolution, mental health and well-being, harm reduction, substance use, and much more. Self-referrals are welcome. Referrals can also be made by parents, schools, social workers, other service providers and communities. Services are free and confidential.
- One-to-One Family Support (ages 0-13): This program works with parents/caregivers of children ages 0-13 to help them reach their family’s individual and collective goals. Experienced Family Workers provide parent education and skills training to increase understanding of child & adolescent development, promote effective communication, address challenging behaviors, and increase cooperation. Workers also help with connection to community resources and additional information. Free, confidential services. Hours of service are flexible and include evenings.
- Parenting Education Programs: Positively Parenting is an informative series of 4 workshops for parents and caregivers of children and youth of all ages. This series covers many topics of parenting including connection, communication, big feelings, learning about the brain, making sense of behaviors, problem solving together, repair when things go sideways and much more. Practical strategies, examples and helpful resources are provided each week.
- Vine Youth Clinic: Provides free and confidential health care for youth ages 12-24 on Wednesday afternoons from 2-5pm. A doctor is available to address health and wellness concerns including general health, sexual health, mental health, substance use and harm reduction supplies. The Youth Services Navigator Worker from Alex House is also available during the clinic to support youth and their caregivers with any inquiries, providing information and supporting connection to resources in the community.
