Traverse - Youth Substance Use and Mental Health
Addictions / Substance Use, Mental Health - Child & Youth, and Youth Services
Provided by Pacific Community Resources Society (PCRS)
This program works with youth to have individualized treatment plans that highlight their resilience and strengths, while enhancing their skills, with the support of staff. Through a large focus on nature-based treatment, youth will learn more about their relationship with nature and the healing that can occur within it, while working towards all their personal health goals. Youth may stay up to 6 months in the program.
To refer a youth complete the Fraser Health standard youth treatment form, then submit the form to the Fraser Health Specialized Intake Worker. The referral options are to: Mental Health and Substance Use clinicians within Fraser Health; Substance Use Counsellors contracted with Fraser Health; Child and Youth Mental Health clinicians at MCFD.
