Immigrant Services - Chilliwack

Provides newcomers with settlement support, language training, community connections, and employment guidance to help them integrate into their new communities.
Programs and services include:
  • Settlement Services: Information, referrals, support and assistance for newcomers to settle successfully in the community. Settlement supported with Community Connections, Orientations & Workshops, interpretation & Translation. Employment, Childcare and Volunteer Placements.

  • Language Services: Language Assessment Center - Immigrant Services is an official CLBPA (Canadian Language Benchmark Placement Assessment) and CLBPT (Canadian Language Benchmark Placement Test) site. The CLBPA and CLBPT assesses your ability to listen, speak, read and write English. Immigrant services also offers English Language Classes, and Conversation Circles.

  • Local Immigration Partnership: The Chilliwack LIP builds partnerships to increase awareness of newcomer services and promote inclusion and equity for immigrants in the Upper Fraser Valley through events, research, and advocacy. Visit the Chilliwack LIP website for more information.
