Supports adults requiring intensive psychosocial rehabilitation (includes emotional, spiritual, psychological, environmental, financial, social and other aspect of the person’s life) in a safe, closed environment. Staff work closely with the individual and support/assist them with managing their illness and their lives. The person is encouraged and supported to work on their goals for moving forward in their lives. This may include developing or regaining life skills, vocational and social connections, and promoting the person’s ability to fully participate in their own lives, and in their community.

Timber Creek Tertiary Care Facility is a 59-bed acute mental health program for adults with serious, complex, and persistent mental illness who need intensive and highly specialized treatment and support. 30-bed assessment and treatment unit has an average stay of three to six months. 12-bed psychiatric intensive care unit provides short-term (two to four weeks) of intensive psychiatric treatment, support, and stabilization.17-bed intensive tertiary rehabilitation unit provides specialized rehabilitation treatment and care with a focus on recovery to each client's level of capability; the average length of stay is six to 24 months.
