Lactation Support

Provides MSP-funded breastfeeding support up to 6 weeks postpartum.
The Surrey Breastfeeding Clinic provides compassionate, family-centered lactation support to help parents meet their infant feeding goals. Staffed by experienced IBCLCs and healthcare professionals, the clinic offers MSP-covered care (with GP referral) for families up to 6 weeks postpartum, and private options beyond. They offer one-on-one consultations as well as small-group breastfeeding classes that are designed to give parents the knowledge, tools, and confidence they need to prepare for and navigate the breastfeeding journey. Support is available for a variety of challenges, including:
  • Difficulty with latching or positioning
  • Sore, cracked, flat, or inverted nipples
  • Engorgement or clogged milk ducts
  • Low milk supply concerns
  • Tongue/lip tie assessments
  • Oversupply or overactive letdown
  • Baby refusing the breast or transitioning to breast


Serves the lower mainland. The team offers services in English, Farsi, and Punjabi, and they can often connect families to interpretation services or additional resources in other languages. Please let any language needs be known at the time of booking.
