Adult Substance Use Integrated Team (SUIT) Services - Oceanside

Provides support for individuals struggling with substance use and are voluntarily seeking help in the Parksville area.
The Oceanside Substance Use Integrated Team (SUIT) offers compassionate, fully community-based outreach support for individuals who are voluntarily seeking help with their substance use. SUIT is available 7 days a week from 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM and is completely separate from the walk-in Adult Mental Health and Substance Use Services at Oceanside, although they share the same space.

Services Offered include:
  • Referrals to detox and treatment
  • Access to harm reduction supplies and education
  • Comprehensive assessment and treatment planning for substance use
  • Support with accessing peer support to attend community recovery groups such as AA
  • Connections to primary care for services including opioid agonist therapy (OAT), wound care, and more
  • Support with smooth transitions to additional community resources tailored to individual needs (e.g., Ministry of Social Development and Poverty Reduction, Society of Organized Services, and more)
How to Access:
  • Clients can self-refer by text or phone to 250-589-3244
  • Providers in the community can refer on behalf of the client via phone or fax if the client is unable to self-refer
