Adult Day Programs - Island Health
Caregiver Support, Disability Services, Home Health Care, and Services for Seniors
Provided by Island Health
Adult Day Program services may include:
- Healthy meals
- Health monitoring
- Social interaction
- Bathing programs (available at some sites)
- Recreational Activities such as singing, gardening, and crafts
- Therapeutic Activities such as cognitive games and chair exercise
- Also supports other community agencies that provide outreach and volunteer services.
- The individual must be a client of Island Health Community Health Services to access the Adult Day Programs.
- Primary Care Provider referral is required (providers see below) OR the client can call the Community Access Line for more information. Please see location telephone numbers and hours below.
- A daily rate up to a maximum of $10 covers meals, transportation (where available), and supplies such as crafts.
- Costs may be waived if serious financial hardship would prevent an individual from accessing the services.
