A Network of Peer-to-Peer Connections and Community Supports Through All Stages of Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD).
Bridge C-14 works to help improve the lives of individuals and their loved ones throughout all stages of the assisted death process across Canada.

Bridge C-14 has created a network for individuals to build meaningful connections of support through all stages of assisted death. Provides a compassionate and safe place for individuals to share their lived experience and to build meaningful connections with others who can relate throughout all stages of the MAiD journey. The following programs are offered:
  • 1:1 Peer Support Program: Volunteers with lived MAiD experience offer support to individuals choosing MAiD*, those supporting someone through MAiD, or people grieving a MAiD death. Connections can be arranged by phone, text, email or online meeting platform.
  • Drop-In Sessions: 60 minutes in length (can be extended to 90 minutes with participant approval/ interest) and are an opportunity to connect, discuss and share with others who understand and appreciate the experience.
  • Grief Support Groups: Offered 'seasonally'. They are facilitated over a 10-week period and each session is 90 minutes long. These groups require registration in advance and are currently offered only for individuals grieving a MAiD loss.
