Provides financial assistance and employment support to women and girls in Chilliwack
Soroptimist International of Chilliwack is an organization that improves the lives of women and girls through programs leading to social and economic empowerment. They do this through two main projects:
- Soroptimist Live Your Dream Award: The Live Your Dream Education and Training Awards for Women assist women who provide the primary financial support for their families. They give women the resources they need tp improve their education, skills and employment prospects. If you are a women who is attending any post-secondary educational institute, and are the primary financial provider for your family, you qualify for this award. The Chilliwack Club awards up to $2500.00. Applicants must demonstrate a financial need and be persuing their dreams while providing for dependants.
- Dream It Be It: Career Support for Girls support young girls in school who face obstacles to their future success. It provides girls with access to professional role models, career education, and the resources to live their dreams.
