Job skills and training program for youth aged 13-17.
The STAR (Summer Training and Recreation) Program is an opportunity for youth aged 13-17, that will introduce them to the work skills and life skills necessary to successfully obtain and keep employment.
While participating in the STAR Summer Program, accepted applicants will participate in recreational activities, complete volunteer assignments, attend workshops, and leave the program with a completed resume and cover letter. In addition, each participant will be given one-to-one support and counselling both during and post-program.
Those completing the three-week program will also receive a reference towards their career and resume.
